The worshipping that goes on in this world is worship of attributes of
prakruti. These attributes do not have any permanent existence; these attributes
are illusionary. These prakrut attributes are dependent on the three humors of
the body: mucous, bile and air (kapha, pitta and vatta). The qualities or
attributes of the Self are independent whereas the attributes of the prakruti
are governed by other factors, but this only becomes evident when one becomes
delirious or demented. Everywhere
in the world we find only worship of the prakruti, not the purush.
I have not seen worship of the purush anywhere.
The reward of worshipping the prakruti is worldly wanderings and the
reward of worshipping the purush is liberation.
